Piano Keys

I got to learn how to play the piano

if only to travel your keys

bring you alive

a touch

soft driving fingertips and the high notes

tease my inner soul

a full scale soiree in my mind

– a distant saxophone in the background –

the quiet blend of ivory mixing motions

without their partners are left alone.

giving your central note all of my attention

over again and on top of each other

So while I lie back

feel my heart begin its own rhythm

I will become ‘a part of you and you me’

A little bit of Langston Hughes melody.

I would love your commentary
